Gambhir and Laxman are made double centuries

India had now strong position. Gambhir and Laxman made 278 runs partnership for fourth wicket. Anil Kumble also supported. He made 45 runs. Zaheer Khan made 28 runs. After Laxman made his double century, Kumble declared India's first innings at 613 runs for 7 wickets.

India won the toss and choose bat first. Viru was disappointed. At India scored 27 runs, Dravid was also out in early. Gautam Gambir and Sachin Tendulkar made 130 runs partnership for 3rd wicket.
